چکیده

own. CONCLUSIONS: Four different preference profiles were uncovered. Caregivers recognize these profiles in daily practice. Because the goal of Q-methodology is to establish different patterns but not their prevalence, the distribution of profiles will be explored in a large follow-up survey. Additional use of these profiles in daily practice will be also explored, because rank-ordering the statements stimulated adolescents to talk about care issues.

Perinatal iron deficiency alters the neurochemical profile of the developing rat hippocampus.

Cognitive deficits in human infants at risk for gestationally acquired perinatal iron deficiency suggest involvement of the developing hippocampus. To understand the plausible biological explanations for hippocampal injury in perinatal iron deficiency, a neurochemical profile of 16 metabolites in the iron-deficient rat hippocampus was evaluated longitudinally by 1H NMR spectroscopy at 9.4 T. Me...

Comparison of the effect of iron oxide nanoparticles and bulk on the memory and associated alterations in dopamine and serotonin levels in the hippocampus of adult male rats

Introduction: With the increasing development of nanotechnology, nanomaterials are used instead of conventional compounds. One of these nanomaterials that have many applications in the biomedical field, is iron oxide (Fe2O3) nanoparticles and there is not much research on its effects on the physiological features. So in this research, effect of iron oxide nanoparticles on short and long-term...

Nutrition and the developing brain: nutrient priorities and measurement.

Nutrients and growth factors regulate brain development during fetal and early postnatal life. The rapidly developing brain is more vulnerable to nutrient insufficiency yet also demonstrates its greatest degree of plasticity. Certain nutrients have greater effects on brain development than do others. These include protein, energy, certain fats, iron, zinc, copper, iodine, selenium, vitamin A, c...

Perinatal nutritional iron deficiency impairs noradrenergic-mediated synaptic efficacy in the CA1 area of rat hippocampus.

Many studies have shown that perinatal nutritional iron deficiency (ID) produces learning impairments in children. Research has also shown that catecholamines like epinephrine and norepinephrine play a pivotal role in the consolidation of memories. In this study, we sought to determine if perinatal ID impairs the following: 1) noradrenergic synaptic function in the hippocampus; and 2) several f...

The state dependency effect of morphine on memory by behavioral and electrophysiological methods in freely moving rats

Endogenous opioid system agonists exert amnestic effects in different models of memory. It has been suggested that these amnestic effects may be linked indirectly to state-dependent learning. Accordingly pre-training administration of morphine can impair the retrieval of learned tasks in a state dependent manner, which is reversible by pre test morphine administration. In this study, state depe...
